Under Magna Carta, your employer will pay your salary for the 60 days you were on leave due to hysterectomy. Ang basis ay current salary. SSS will pay your sickness leave based on your average SSS salary credit (ang dapat is i-advance ng employer ito, then later on, i-encash nila yong check from SSS at kanila na yon. Kung hindi sila nag-advance sa iyo, idedeposit nila yong pera from SSS to your payroll account, or bibigyan ka ng check kung ito ang style nila) October 19, 2019 Jennifer Hi, I filed for magna carta leave 60 days due to hysterectomy but not Sick leave at the same time, nag file din ako ng SSS sickness benefit. May I know what will be the computation for this? Approved days of SSS less magna carta leave. At ipinagbabawal ng SSS ang more than one SSS number. Para mapalitan ang gusto mong palitan, go to SSS, bring marriage certificate and birth certificates kung husband and children ang new beneficiaries mo. Sa SSS, ask for a Member Data Change Request form. Meron doong “Updating of Dependends/Beneficiaries”. Para makahulog ka na ng contributions, mag-enroll as Self-Employed (fill up Personal Data form). Magpakita ka ng proof of source of income, like buy and sell ID, or commission receipt, or i-describe mo sa SSS officer kung ano ang iyong pinagkakakitaan. I heard that there is none as long as there is a Filipino blood in one’s (their) vein. You see, I am thinking of applying SSS membership for my 2 kids who were born abroad – US. November 1, 2018 Nora Hi Jay, meron bang at least 3 contributions ang mama mo sa SSS within July 2017 to June 2018? Ang ibinibigay niya ay allowance per day based on number of days approved by SSS. Kung merong organ na tatanggalin, puede rin kayong mag-file for partial disability benefit after ma-consume nio yong sickness benefit days na ibinigay ng SSS. Yong Philhealth ang mag-cover ng part of your hospital bill – present your receipts and MDR to the hospital upon admission. How about the burial/funeral claim? Ty June 13, 2018 Nora Hi marie, the SSS definition for Voluntary is a member who is formerly a paying Employed or OFW or self-employed or non-working spouse member. You stopped being an Employed member, so you are Voluntary. I cannot find an SSS rule that explicitly states that a Voluntary member should not be working. One is not even required to register as Voluntary. The requirement is that one should have previous contributions as registered Employee, OFW, self-employed or NWS, and then just check the Voluntary field on the form, and once the payment is posted, the member status in the SSS system is automatically changed to Voluntary. The exception that I can think of is when an employee stops working for an employer, and works as a professional like a doctor, accountant, lawyer, etc. or becomes an employer. Then they should register as self-employed. About paying until 65: Yes, you can continue paying until 65. SSS states “A member who is 60 years old and above, but not yet 65, with 120 contributions or more may continue paying as VM up to 65 years old to avail of the higher amount of benefit.” About Feb and March payment: Sorry you’re no longer allowed to pay for these months — payment deadline has passed, even if it’s not your fault in a way. About paying until age 65: Pay only up to the month just before your semester of retirement. It’s because SSS considers only payments before semester of retirement. For example, your birthday is November. Your semester of retirement is July to Dec, so pay only up to June in the year you become 65. June 4, 2018 marie Hi Ms. Nora, 1. I worked for 16 years then I stop. I started to pay my own SSS under voluntary member when I am 58 years old I am now 63, I went to SSS and the barong security told me I can continue paying my SSS till I am 65 years old, is that right? 2. I chose voluntary member base on the TERM voluntary Under voluntary member, do I need to have work or I do not need to have work? I went to Makati SSS 3 years ago, the junior teller accused me of working under voluntary member, that is the only time I realize that under voluntary member a person should have no work, is that right? I got mad and a senior teller come to me and answer my other questions, setting aside working or not working. In reality, I am not working. 3. I pay my SSS online thru bank, I always make schedule online payment 3 months in advance. When SSS start to have a new payment system. My 3 months advance for Jan, Feb and March 2018 – only Jan 2018 went thru, and my Feb and March was left unpaid, I only notice it now when I check my SSS account. The bank remove my Feb and March schedule payment because they are not authorize to receive payment anymore and now I paid thru Union Bank for my Apr, May and June 2018 Can I still pay for my Feb and March SSS – which the bank discontinue my schedule payment due to new payment system of SSS? Thank you Marie chay June 3, 2018 Nora Hi Perla, Pag-ibig’s phone number is 724-4244. SSS phone number is 920-6446 to 55. If less than 36 contributions, lump sum ang ibibigay. If you’re under 21, and your mother was not married, you are the main beneficiary. If you’re over 21, and your mother was not married, the main beneficiaries are her parents. So you will know who can claim, go to SSS with your IDs, your mother’s death cert, your birth cert and ask how to file your claim. If your mother was not married, you will be required to get a CENOMAR or Cert of No Marriage from PSA. Ganon din sa Pag-ibig, kelangan nila ang CENOMAR if your mother was not married. Tinanong ba ang source of income mo, nanghingi ba ng proof of source of income, at isinulat ba ang recommended monthly contribution mo? You can enroll in online SSS so you can see his records. Enroll in online SSS so you can check your payments. June 7, 2017 Nora Hi Rina, use the Contributions Payment Form, kasi ito na yong new. Old payment form yong RS-5. Complete miscarriage ba? O kelangan ng raspa? Kung kelangang maraspa, request for a histopathology report. Ito ang important sa SSS kasi they evaluate the stage of pregnancy. Kung hindi naraspa, magpa-checkup sa OB mo, and request for a medical certificate confirming your complete miscarriage and why D&C was no longer done. March 27, 2017 michelle good day poh…ask ko lang ph kasi nakunan poh ako it’s 6 weeks poh yun ngaun poh nagpaultrasound ako and then wala daw poh heart bit mga saturday poh yun, ngaun poh natakot ako than 3 after dinugo poh ako…ang tanong ko poh ndi poh ba ako makapag file ng SSS benifits ko poh? Ask others too March 18, 2017 Amy Azored Good day po parents ko kasal at ako anak Dubai Subalit dumating time nag Hiwalay magulang Ko dahil tatay ko naka pagtrabsho nag Pension po cya Peru may ibang pamilya Napo cya. March 17, 2017 Nora Hi Arlyn, I hope na-claim mo na yong funeral benefit, kasi ito ang dapat maunang i-claim according to SSS. Ang computation ng pension mo ay magsimula the month after your husband’s death. Pension ang benefit mo if your husband contributed at least 36 monthly contributions (3 years) to SSS. If less than 36, lump sum ang benefit mo. I hope mga 1 or 2 or 3 months lang sa case mo. Nag file po ako ng death claim for my late husband at 50 yers old lang sya. March 3, 2017 Nora Hi Carol, yes, puede kang mag-file as Separated. Ang magbabayad is SSS. File notification first, if di ka pa nag-notify. Then for claim filing, use the sickness benefit application form. See that you ob-gyne gives you at least 60 days of leave (in the form). Since you had surgery while you were employed, you need to also submit a cert of separation with date of separation, cert of non-advancement of sickness benefit and a copy of L501. After 60 days at di mo pa rin kayang mag-work, you can also file for partial disability benefit after your 60-day benefit leave (Removal of Organ). February 27, 2017 Carol Guerra Hi Nora, I undergone total abdominal hysterectomy last January 28, 2017, but I already submitted my resignation and the effectivity date is Feb. 6, 2017. Meaning, hindi nako nakapasok bago pa resignation ko due to my condition. My question is can I still file for Sickleave benefit at Sss, sino ang magbabayad employer ko or Sss. February 27, 2017 Marilyn hi Ms Nora, Iv been contributing my Sss since 1999 as employee. Last August 2015, I migrated here in foreign country & just continue my contribution as voluntary member in a maximum amount of 1,760..Unfortunately, since Sept 2016 until Jan 2017, when I happened to go online, I found out that there’s no contributions has been remitted nor posted. I’m thinking to stop contributing & just continue when I reach at the age of 54. I’m 48 yrs old this time.. Please I need your advice on what’s the best to do.. thank you, and anticipating your response. February 27, 2017 Edwina Bolano Thank u po miss Nora..God bless.. February 24, 2017 Nora Hi Edwina, in-announce nga ng SSS noon na they will try to complete adjustments for all survivor pensioners by Dec 2016, pero based sa mga comments dito, hindi nagawa ng SSS na tapusin by Dec 2016. February 24, 2017 Edwina Bolano Good evening po mrs nora. Once na ma-post yong contribution mo as individual payor, automatically ma-change yong member coverage mo to Voluntary. After your new payment is posted, enroll in the SSS online system so you can track your records. If you change to self-employed kasi, you need to present business papers or proof of source of income. About your husband, dahil employed na rin siya noon, isulat mo na lang na OFW ang member type niya doon sa payment slip. Hinahanap lang naman ang proof na OFW kapag you will pay after payment deadlines ng mga Voluntary. Ang OFW kasi mas flexible ang payment deadlines nila. At kung halimbawa your husband likes to contribute to Flexi-Fund for OFWs, doon kelangang mag-fill-up ng form. February 20, 2017 Nora Hi Victoriano, puede ka naman sana na nag-file na ng pension when you turned 60. Pero ang advantage ay naipon mo yong pensions mo starting when you turned 60 until ma-process ang pension mo this year. Ang basis ay yong last 60 salary credits mo, around years 1993 to 1998. Kung tama yong research ko, ang maximum in 1998 was 11k pesos, 10k in 1997, 9k in 1996 and years prior, backwards to 1979. Estimated pension? If you can know your former employer’s SSS number, you can enroll in the SSS online system. Ayokong mag-estimate if I can’t see the actual salary credits, kasi baka I will cause despair or hope. You can visit the nearest SSS branch with your ID. They can see your estimated pension. More or less ano ang magiging monthly pension ko? February 20, 2017 Nora Hi Jasmin, yes, puede mo pang bayaran ang Jan to March para madagdagan yong benefit amount mo, the highest that you can pay. What’s the last digit of your SSS no.? If it’s 5 to 9 or 0, puede mo pang bayaran ang January, sa SSS branch. Puede ring quarterly, bayaran mo the whole quarter, kahit sa Bayad Center. February 20, 2017 Jasmin Good Eve po . February 13, 2017 Nora Hi Mrs Relatorres, if it is your own SSS pension, yes, you will continue to receive your pension. Make sure to file your ACOP every year, during or just before your birthday month. But if you are currently receiving a survivor pension (arising from your first spouse’s SSS), this will stop as soon as SSS finds out you have remarried. In the ACOP form, you will write the date of your remarriage. February 9, 2017 Mrs Relatorres if I have remarried in the U.S. am i still qualified to receive my sss pension? February 8, 2017 Nora Hi melanie, sorry for my delayed response. Yes, you can file for sickness benefit at SSS. Are you self-employed or voluntary? Ask for SSS sickness benefit claim forms for self-employed or voluntary from SSS. Dapat din na meron kang 6 monthly contributions within the 12 months prior to loan renewal January 9, 2017 Nora Hi Mercedita, yes, puedeng magbayad ng maraming months in advance sa SSS, pero yong posting ng monthly payment sa records ng member ay gagawin from month to month, as the months arrive in real time. January 9, 2017 Mercedita Hi,MiSs Nora,GoOd day pOh Ask q lnG KuNg paSok poh aNg advAnCe pay Sa SSS.? But this is a government agency, so I think you should have Civil Service eligibility. As of today, job openings on their website are not update. But I’ll email you an example of their job openings as of May 2016, so you can see how they hire. January 7, 2017 JohnPaul Hi Ms. Nora, my question is not that much related but in case you know, I would just like to ask if you know the process of applying for a job in SSS. Thank you! January 7, 2017 Nora Hi Faith, sorry hindi ko masasagot kung ano ang mas mabuti kasi baka in the end hindi pala yong suggestion ko ang mas maganda. If you decide to continue, you will pay over a period of 3 years more in actual time. One level of increase per year, kasi 61 na siya. Bago ka gumasto for documents, pumunta ka muna sa nearest SSS with your ID at birth certificate (to show your relationship to your father) and verify your father’s contributions. Pag verified na merong valid contributions, manghingi ka na ng claim forms and list of requirements to file for funeral benefit and death benefit. December 19, 2016 judelyn Hello po…isa po ako ofw now.. ask ko po sana if what is better apply for sss in my name or ituloy ko nalang ung sa asawa ko..thanks and godbless December 13, 2016 Arlene Hi Miss Nora. Every month tumatawag ako sa SSS to follow up. If wala pa dw kailangan daw n mag-apply for adjustment kasi yun daw ang bagong memo nila. Pero ask ko yung kausap ko if kailan nag start yang adjustment and sabi nya nya last year lang daw. Nagtataka lang ako kasi yung aunt ko nakatanggap last Jan 2015. Yung asawa niya namatay ng 2002 a year after my father died. Both were seamen. And may contrbution ang father ko ng 1985-1989. Is it possible Miss Nora? I’ve already consulted you abt this few months back. Thank you po. Sorry, that’s true na naubos na yong pondo, at wala pang new funding. Hindi naman actually naubos, as in nagasto na, kundi naka-allot na or naka-budget na yong money sa 4-year or 5-year schooling ng mga almost 60,000 students na nag-apply noong 2012 and 2013. Nagkakaroon lang ng chance na merong one or two na new applicant na ma-approve kapag merong tumitigil doon sa mga na-approved. At ang haba ng waiting list. Waiting list pa since Dec 2013. Sorry. I hope you can find another remedy. Did your lolo work in 1985 to 1989? You can ask your lolo to write an authorization letter, authorizing you to ask about your pension adjustment, so you can go to the nearest SSS branch and ask. Bring your ID and your lolo’s ID. I-apply nila mula sa months na hindi mo pa nabayaran for 2016 up to the 11th month. Malayo ba ang Skyfreight sa yo? Baka sa kanila merong space for applicable months Anyway, Tahweel Al Rajhi and Telemoney are also accredited SSS collectors. Maybe later on, when you have time, email email@example.com and ask how you can let SSS know what months you are paying if you’re sending your payment for SSS contributions, and the remittance company like Tahweel Al Rajhi does not have space for applicable months. As a passenger in a ship or airplane? According sa SSS, ito ang mga documents na kelangan nio, in addition to the regular documents needed: 1) Notarized affidavit by the claimant stating that the death benefit will be returned to the SSS if the member later on appears alive (SSS form ito). 2) Police investigation report conducted immediately after the disappearance of the member which tends to show that the member is already deceased 3) Confirmation report from a police authority or other government agency after 4 or 7 years from the date of disappearance of the member to the effect that the member has not yet been found. Itong 3 documents above ay puedeng wala kung merong Court order declaring death and “date of death of member”. Pero dahil merong loan, punta ka muna with your IDs at birth certificate (to prove you’re a child of your father) sa SSS at tanungin mo kung magkano na ang loan ng father mo, at kung meron pa kayong ma-lump sum. Sabihin mo na missing ang father mo, at gagasto kayo para sa investigation and reports to prove that he was missing for 10 years and most probably dead already. November 15, 2016 Abegail Desacula Hi ask lang po my father was missing for almost 10 years and as far as i know almost 6 years na siya nakakapaghulog at may loan siya bago po siya mawala. Go to SSS and ask for claim forms at yong list of requirements. Kung less than 3 years nga, hindi siya magpepension, so hindi na niya kelangang i-submit yong ibang requirements katulad ng bank account no. Para malaman mo kung hindi ka lugi sa pag-claim (kasi you need documents), bring your father’s ID and authorization letter, kahit handwritten lang, and your ID para matanong mo sa SSS officer kung ilan ang contributions ng father mo at kung magkano yong total. Tell the officer na your father is already 70 years old. November 12, 2016 Lhyne Hi good morning, ask q lang po about sa sss ng father q kc nkapaghulog po xa ng less than 3 years plan po nya na i lumpsum nya nalang po, he is 70 years old now, iniisip q po kc un hulog nya po bfore is napakababa lng kc 1981 xa ngstart mghulog sa sss po. November 12, 2016 ALdz Yung tatay ko kasama ba Siya sa nakaavail namg back pay?78 years old Na sya again..slamat November 10, 2016 Nora Hi Sophie, ang alam ko hindi na puedeng mag-claim ng sick leave or sickness benefit sa SSS, kung ang reason mo is D&C rin. Nag-file ka na ba ng papers to claim your maternity benefit? Di ba, kasama sa documents yong D&C papers mo? Ibig sabihin, yong D&C mo is yon yong claim mo for maternity benefit. Hindi puedeng madoble, sabi ng SSS. Did you ask your office kung puedeng all your 60 days ay before D&C? Palagay ko ang ilalagay nilang dates ng maternity leave mo sa maternity claim form ay some days before D&C and some days after D&C. November 5, 2016 Sophie Ms Nora! Ang nakita ko lang is sa industrial sector na puedeng mag-hire ng trainees, pero up to 3 months lang dapat as trainees, at 75% of minimum wage. Sa SSS law, ang exempted lang sa SSS are casual employees, independent contractors, foreign employees of foreign government institutions and international institutions, employees earning less than 1,00 pesos a month at government employees kasi GSIS sila. October 21, 2016 Rich Hi Ms. Nora. TY October 21, 2016 Nora Hi Elaine, your family can pay for you. Enroll ka sa SSS online so you can track your payments and balance. Remember to change your password every 6 months. October 16, 2016 Nora Hi Aida, meron bang at least 36 contributions ang kapatid mo? Kung meron, yes, meron silang makukuhang pension, kasi minor children sila (under 21 years of age). Pero while you ask this, medyo quiet ka lang din to preserve peace between the families. At saka, what I know is this needs investigation by the SSS. October 16, 2016 Elaine Torres Hi.. Ask k lng po how can I pay my sss loan if I’m abroad? I’m a seafarer. I didn’t pay for the past 4 mos including this Oct coz no budget. Now that I’m back to work in d ship. October 15, 2016 Nora Hi Mercedita, dalhin mo lang yong SSS number mo at iqama mo at yong perang ihuhulog mo. SSS announced that those who started receiving their pensions prior to 1997 will have their adjustments computed from Jan to June 2017. Inuna nila ang mga adjustments ng pensioners after 1997 and survivor pensioners, at kahit itong mga ito ay hindi pa tapos. October 8, 2016 Nora Hi Edwina, yes, it’s possible that the 1985-1989 years were not counted. SSS announced that they will complete by Dec 2016 all adjustments for survivor pensioners whose pensions excluded those years , so just wait. If you like, you can also visit the nearest SSS branch with your ID and ask about your adjustment. October 8, 2016 Edwina Bolano Hi mrs nora,im a survivor pensioner since 2005.I just want to inquire about my pension. My late husband has a total of 229 sss contributions, from 1982 to 1997 and i recieved a lumpsum of 12k and my mnthly pension is 2400 with 4 dependents.I just want to know if the computation is correct if there was a possibility that the 1985-1989 was not included in their computation.Thank u so much and more power.. Present your ID. At saka, dapat merong kang 6 contributions in the past 12 months prior to loan application. Kasi mas mabilis kung through bank account. Maybe 2 weeks. At saka dapat whole-month ang contribution nila kasi up to June 30 ka naman nag-work. You can call your former HR and ask. I’m 39 years old. Thanks. September 2, 2016 Joe Hello Nora. I migrated to Australia year 2000. Before that I worked in the Philippines for a total of 5 years. I have a colleague here in Australia who migrated in 1996. Before he left, he said he was able to claim ALL his SSS contributions. He said he was able to do this as he mentioned that he is no longer going back to the Philippines hence no more future contributions. I don’t plan to make any more contributions myself and that I have less than the 120 required monthly contributions to qualify for pension. Am I able to get my previous contributions as a lump sum same as what my colleague? Salamat in advance. September 2, 2016 Nora Hi Perla, SSS and Pag-ibig 1 are both mandatory for employees. SSS is more of an insurance, as compared to savings. With SSS, you get a pension when you retire or you can enjoy short-term benefits like salary loan, sickness, maternity and disability benefits. There are formulas in computing these benefits. There are also death and funeral benefits for beneficiaries. Both Pag-ibig 1 and 2 are savings schemes. What you save is what you get back, plus the dividends. The difference between 1 and 2 is the term. You get back Pag-ibig 1 when you retire at 60, or when you accumulate 240 contributions at age 45 or older. You get back Pag-ibig 2 after 5 years (can be renewed for another 5 years). If the P1 member dies without having claimed his benefits, there’s an additional death benefit of 6,000 pesos. If you’re not employed and you want to register with SSS, register as self-employed. Here’s how to register with SSS as self-employed. For further info, it’s better to visit their websites than to call, based on experience, as the phone lines are too busy. Or you can visit their verified Facebook pages. September 1, 2016 Perla A.Sanglay Hi.I’m planning to open a savings account but would like compare first on benefits if both pag ibig (1&2) and sss savings account. Is there a phone number I can call? Thank you. August 31, 2016 Leonardo Q. Barquin Dear Sir/ Maam, Good day. I would like to inquire about pension adjustment of my status Leonardo Q. Barquin of legal age 64 years old, Poblacion, Toledo City, Cebu, 6038 with SSS no.06-0532894-1. I am a current member since 1979 to 1994. With this matter, I would like to ask if I am Qualify to have a Pension Adjustment. Sincerely yours, Leonardo Q. Barquin August 21, 2016 Nora Hi Gwen, merong 10% annual interest ang loan at babayaran within 24 months. In simpler terms, total loan amount plus total interest divided by 24, yon ang babayaran from month to month. I-multiply mo yong monthly deduction mo x 24 — masyado bang malaki compared sa na-loan mo? August 17, 2016 Gwen Hi, I just get my 1st loan last month and I am surprised kasi ang laki ng deduction saakin ng sss, I PAID sss for 36 months than file a loan, bakit ganun kalaki ang deduction eh pera q naman yung ni loan KO. August 17, 2016 Nora Hi Rei, try opening your mail using Internet Explorer, kasi ito yong browser na more compatible sa SSS systems August 12, 2016 Rei Hi panu macheck status ng loan, kahit online ngregister na ako pero kapag mgsend sila confirmation sa email dko maopen ung link August 12, 2016 Nora Hi Nieves, kung dirediretso ang employment ng husband mo from 1972 to 1998, most likely meron siyang adjustment kasi sa estimate ko, hindi lang dapat 3k plus ang pension niya. Wait nio lang yong voucher notice niya, kasi sabi ng SSS they will try to complete adjustments for all by Dec 2016. Kung merong computation na ibinigay, it means you have an adjustment. Just wait for the notice and the amount to be deposited to your account and added to your monthly pension. July 11, 2016 rhea me makukuha pa po bh pag rerequest for adjustment ung member? un po kc ang ibinigay sa amin nung nag punta kmi sa SSS July 11, 2016 Nora Hi Marjun, SSS offers housing loans only to actively-working OFWs and members of registered workers’ organizations, and no longer to other types of members. If you’re not OFW or not a member of a registered workers’ organization, you can apply for a housing loan from Pag-ibig. But you need to save money first – about 20% of your planned budget. Pag-ibig releases construction loans in batches. It inspects first what you have built before releasing the next loan amount June 17, 2016 Marjun How can I get a loan from sss to build a house? June 16, 2016 lheila hi po please help. through which remittance service can I pay my sss contribution here in haifa. can i pay at an sss remittance center? thanks po in advance. lhyn of moshav.. May 29, 2016 Nora Hi Shiela, did you register her using RS1 form? and was it approved and stamped? About pension: Sad to say, your mother might not qualify for pension because she will not be able to complete paying 120 contributions (the required no. of contributions to qualify for pension) when she turns 65. By age 65, she will only be able to pay around 70 or 72 contributions. I don’t know if SSS will allow your mother to continue paying until age 69 to complete the 120 contributions because there’s a policy against this. About advance payments: You can pay in advance, but your payments will not be posted in advance; they will be posted from month to month, as each month comes in actual time. Ask others too May 29, 2016 Shiela Hi ms nora. my mother was already 59 years old when she became a member of sss. up to when should I pay her SSS? I pay for her because I want her to have pension, but how is it? She’s nearing 60. is it up to 65? Can I pay the required no. of months in advance so she can have her pension soon? Were you the one who spent for the funeral? SSS requires that you first file for the funeral benefit before you file for the death benefit. File asap for the funeral benefit, after which you can file for the death benefit so that SSS will learn that your husband had 2 families. The benefit will be shared among the minor children of the first family, your minor children, you as guardian, and possibly the first wife (if SSS decides so). The benefit is pension if your husband contributed at least 36 contributions; lump sum if less than 36 months. I’ll email you the list of requirements May 16, 2016 imie alvaran Hi Ms. Nora, my husband died. We have 2 children, still minors. But I found out he had a first marriage. They’re still alive. But he has been separated from his first wife for a long time. What should I do so my children can get their pension? What are the requirements? May 15, 2016 virginia dominguez mallari Hi, Ms Nora, what’s the latest news about 1985-1989 contribution? I’m waiting for it because I want SSS to be able to get back my invalidated pensions faster. year 2012 of April, SSS cancelled my pension, and it had to get back 29 months. Is that right? more power and thanks a lot. April 22, 2016 Nora Hi Wills, yes, you’re right about the increase. About the decrease, if you’re OFW, you should not go below the 5,000 salary credit. For voluntary and self-employed, the circular stated not going below the prevailing minimum but it did not specify the minimum amount or the basis of the “prevailing minimum.” I’ll try asking SSS at their Facebook page April 22, 2016 Wills ventura Mrs nora, in the sss circular on change of monthly contribution of voluntary contribution, sss circular 2015-007, am I right in my understanding that I can decrease to 110 monthly and then increase up to 1760 at any given time, before age 55? more power.tnx April 21, 2016 Nora Hi lolita, yes, the minimum monthly contribution for OFWs is still 550 pesos. Is it still 550? thanks po April 13, 2016 Nora Hi melner, if your father worked from 1985 to 1989, your mother will receive additional pension. SSS is still computing, so wait for your notice. If you don’t get a notice by May, your mother can go to SSS and ask, or you can go with authorization letter and your mother’s ID and your ID. April 12, 2016 melner What’s new with SSS PENSION? My MAMA is a PENSIONER PO from my father’s death. I was told my mama can get something from SSS, is this true? April 9, 2016 Nora Hi zy, you can apply for sickness benefit if your OB will give you sick leaves of at least 4 days (in your medical cerfificate). Ask others too. March 28, 2016 Nora Hi Jobell, you have 10 years within which to file your claim, but of course, file as soon as you have completed your documents. Based on the SSS list, your father’s birth certificate is not required. It’s the children’s birth certificates that are required if they’re minor, or if they’re secondary beneficiaries. March 3, 2016 Jobell F. Aguvida Hi Ms.Nora. I wanna asked about the death claim application. My father passed away last January 16, 2016 but until now I am not able to pass the needed requirements. Is their a deadline for filing? do I need to submit my papa’s birth cert? Hoping for your immediate response. Thanks and God bless. March 2, 2016 Nora Hi zulfikar, yes, but you should have accumulated at least 36 contributions in all, and you should have paid at least 6 contributions within the past 12 months. Do you have a bank account in the Philippines? Because your loan will be given to you in the form of cheque; you can authorize your family to receive your cheque so they can deposit to your account. They cannot encash your cheque over the counter. Do you have an online SSS account? You can apply for a loan online. The system will tell you if you’re qualified for a loan or not. Here’s how to register to get an online SSS account God bless too February 17, 2016 zulfikar jaujali Gud morning mrs Nora can I apply for a loan? even if my sss payments are not continuous? I’m here in saudi. Thank you, God bless February 16, 2016 Nora Hi soy, wait for your DOC to be posted in your SSS records before you apply for your UMID. Did you apply as self-employed? If yes, was your RS-1 approved by SSS? Pay for Jan and Feb — it might help. I know someone who also waited for many months February 11, 2016 soy hi Mrs Nora. I’ve applied and paid contribution for 3 months. Can I apply for UMID ID? I paid october-dec 2015. 3x I passed 2weeks, 3x I made a followup for DOC February 10, 2016 Nora Hi Diane, yes, they are one and the same. SSS uses the phrase Funeral Benefit. The other one is Death Benefit, which can be pension or lump sum. January 28, 2016 Diane Are Funeral and burial claims the same? or are they separate benefits? January 28, 2016 Nora Hi Caselyn, since your father is a new pensioner, he can go to SSS and ask if his 1985-1989 contributions were considered in the computation of his pension. Maybe he can go there in February, as you wait this January for any notice coming from SSS. January 17, 2016 Caselyn Melchor Hello po this is caselyn. ask about my father. had just started getting his pension. got also his lumpsum. this year he’ll start getting his pension. is there an adjustment for him for 1985-1989? he worked till 2015. Thank you. January 15, 2016 Nora Hi Joey, I replied to you here: http://www.workingpinoy.com/2015/10/claim-philippine-sss-pension-naturaliized-citizen/ December 19, 2015 Joey Hi Nora, i am a naturalized U.S. citizen now and continued paying my monthly voluntary SSS contribution since left the Phil. In 1986, my question is can i file my SSS pension when i reach 60 yrs. old in March, 2016 eventhough i continually working here in the U.S. when i reach that age (60 yrs. old). Thank you for kind reply to my question! December 19, 2015 Nora Hi Jenny, you visit the nearest SSS and verify your contributions. Ask the guard for a verification slip. Bring your SSS ID or other IDs. Enroll in the SSS online system so you can track your account. November 29, 2015 Jenny viloria Hello po, how can I know how many times have I remitted to SSS? Thanks po November 29, 2015 Nora Hi kath, at least 1 valid contribution. If she did not work in the Philippines, I hope she made her SSS payment abroad because that will prove she was an OFW. Try to look for her SSS receipts or OW1 form. If there’s one valid contribution, you can claim the 20k funeral benefit. And the single contribution amount will be returned to you. If your mother paid less than 120 contributions, you’ll get back all her contributions. If she paid more than 120, and if you’re younger than 21, you can get a pension. If 21 or older, you’ll get back all her contributions. If you can’t find papers, you can go to the nearest SSS with your ID, your birth certificate and your mother’s death certificate and ask about your mother’s SSS contributions and the benefits that you can claim. Take care October 17, 2015 kath Hi po how many monthly contributions should be paid before the beneficiary can claim SSS death benefits? October 17, 2015 Nora Hi Cheska, the grandchild cannot be a primary beneficiary even if he’s a minor. The grandfather’s primary beneficiaries are his dependent wife and minor children. If there are no primary beneficiaries, the secondary beneficiaries are the grandfather’s parents, and if none, it’s the people written on his E1 or E4, and if none, the grandchildren are the claimants. He can try filing his E4 presenting the child’s birth certificate and his son’s birth certificate — I’m just not sure if SSS will allow it. October 14, 2015 nads Thanks Ms. Nora. You are an Angel:) October 13, 2015 Cheska Hi po good day! Can a grandchild be a beneficiary of his grandfather? The grandchild is 5 years old and and his lolo is 56 yrs. old but the child’s father is also a member of sss and is beneficiary of his father. But the child’s father lost his job last year and until now has not found work and i think he has not paid his Sss. That’s why the grandpa likes to include his grandchild as beneficiary. Is that valid? Thank you God bless October 13, 2015 Nora Hi mary cris, no payment. It’s free. But you need to present your birth certificate from city hall’s local registrar or from NSO (original and xerox). The SSS officer will write your SSS no. on your E1 copy. October 12, 2015 mary cris Bernal Hi is there a payment for SSS E1. I’m a new applicant and I’d like to apply for SSS membership October 12, 2015 Nora Hi nads, yes, you will qualify. It’s now October; pay asap July to Sep. Check your payment deadline based on the last digit of your SSS no. If you give birth in July, pay also Jan to Mar 2016. October 8, 2015 nads Hi ms Nora. Am I qualified for maternity benefit if I paid july 2015 to december 2015 and will continue payment next yr 2016. my due is on june or july po 2016.. hope for your response. thank you October 8, 2015 Nora Hi ms. jhen, yes, file your stamped MAT1 together with MAT2 after you give birth. September 15, 2015 Nora Hi ms. jhen, if you have paid at least 3 contributions within July 2015 to June 2015, you’re qualified. File your MAT1 asap. SSS maternity eligibility September 15, 2015 ms. jhen Am I qualified for maternity benefit if I’m due oct.4,2015. last payment was march 2015, afterwhich I no longer paid as I resigned from work. Do I need to pay april to sept to qualify for the benefit? thank u September 15, 2015 Ian Hello, I’m currently working overseas and I would like to know how to pay my salary loan balance from my previous employer. I know I still have a few more months left to fully pay my loan. Where can I check my remaining balance? How do I pay the balance? Can I pay in full? September 14, 2015 Nora Hi Jenelyn, if your loan has become delinquent, you can not borrow. You need to pay your loan first. If not yet delinquent, and if you have paid at least 50% of your loan amount and one year or more has passed, you can renew your loan. September 7, 2015 Jenelyn PAluray Can I loan to pay my previous loan? September 7, 2015 Cristina Hello, Mrs. Nora— Thank you so much for your help. I will look into this right away. Best regards, Cristina August 21, 2015 Nora Hi Cristina, yes, your mother can inherit the pension of your father because she’s the dependent legal spouse, meaning she’s the primary beneficiary. But in the SSS Citizen’s charter, I don’t see any instruction regarding the use of a Special Power of Attorney of a representative to file a death claim. But your mother can claim her pension through her representative. The SPA should be specific about the powers authorized, such as “to file and process the SSS pension and to sign for and in behalf of the member” and should be verified by the Philippine consul there. Before your mother files her death claim, she should first claim the funeral benefit (your father’s) — this claim can also be processed by your representative (but it’s posted in the instructions that processing will depend on the discretion of the SSS branch manager.) I’ll email you the Citizen’s charter. August 20, 2015 Cristina Hello, my parents worked in the Philippines for over ten years and moved to the U.S. over 30 years ago. My father had been receiving his monthly pension from the Philippines here in the U.S.since 2005. He passed away a few weeks ago. My mother was already eligible to receive her Philippines SS pension since 2013. However, she hasn’t been receiving it. She was told that she had to go back to the Philippines in order to start receiving her pension from the Philippines while living in the U.S. 1) What happens to my father’s pension? Does it transfer to my mother? However, if my mother has no means to receive her own Philippine pension, what is the procedure for her to receive my father’s? 2)What is the procedure so my mother can start receiving her Philippine pension while she is living in the U.S.? August 20, 2015 Nora Hi Arlene, the SSS sickness benefit is different from your company sick leave benefit. It’s not like maternity benefit, which comes only from SSS, for most companies. You ask your accounting or HR why they deducted. Your sick leave benefit should be in addition to your SSS sickness benefit. The only issue here is that SSS policy is that you can only qualify for SSS sickness benefit after you have used up all your company’s sick leaves with pay. August 19, 2015 Arlene Jorque Hi Ms.Nora, I had gall bladder (cholesystectomy). we have 30 days leave po in our company. I used 10 days and was paid by our company through payroll. I filed for sss sickness and was approved for 30 days. was not advanced by the company. was waiting for the check to be deposited to our bank account. when the payment from sss was given to me, they deducted 10 days for the leave that I used. Is that correct? August 18, 2015 Nora Hi aldrich, I’m puzzled that the SSS officer did not advise you about RS1 form. Your SSS no. in your E1 form will be your SSS no. for life, whether you get employed, or remain self-employed. Every SSS member is instructed to only have one SSS no. Fill up the RS1 form and use your SSS no. Submit also proof of your source of income (can be mayor’s business permit, or DTI or SEC registration plus sales receipt or any proof that your business is earning). Check also the table of SSS contributions so you can decide what income to write. Start paying as self-employed only after your RS1 form is approved, signed and stamped by the SSS officer. After about several contributions, you should get your Date of Coverage (this is important) August 18, 2015 aldrich I got sss number using e1 form. I wasnt able to get a job but instead; I was able to establish a small business. I tried to go to sss and ask them if I can pay contribution but according to them. I need to have at least 1 contribution from an employer. If this is the case. Can I fill up rs1 form as self employed with existing number from e1 or can I just get a new no. using the said form. Please advise me. thanks August 17, 2015 Nora Hi shequinah, you don’t need to file an SSS form. It will be SSS that will change your status from Voluntary to Employed. This will happen after your first contributions as Employed are remitted by your employer and posted by SSS. Your July to Sep contributions will be posted most likely in October. After posting, enroll in the SSS online system, and check your records. August 15, 2015 shequinah good morning po ms nora, what should I do? I was a voluntary member, now I’m working. How can I change from voluntary to employed? what form should I fill up to become employed po. Thanks a lot po August 15, 2015 jennifer l. datuin Thankyou nora August 15, 2015 Nora Hi jennifer, you can qualify for half of your maternity benefit if you registered correctly with SSS and you have a Date of Coverage. File your MAT1 before delivery. August 14, 2015 jennifer l. datuin Hi can I use my sss if I started paying this january and will give birth this september? August 13, 2015 Nora Hi Rhoxie, it means your requirements are complete and received by SSS. You’ll know it’s approved when you get the check. Or enroll online so you can check your approval after about 3 weeks or more. August 5, 2015 Rhoxie Tesoro Montesa Hi! I filed mat 2 with the requirements, then I was given by sss an acknowledgement stub maternity reimbursement. does this mean my file was approved? August 4, 2015 Nora Hi rhona, no, the requirement is 120 monthly contributions. If he paid only 3 months and he’s already 60, he will get back the total amount of his 3 contributions. August 1, 2015 rhona Hi Nora! can my father claim retirement even he has only 3 months contribution? July 31, 2015 Nora Hi Daniel, if your new company is rushing you to submit your documents, then you can submit your E1. That’s your E1. You can not change what’s in your E1 document. The company just wants to make sure that your SSS no. is correct and valid. But if not rushing, it’s better that you file E4, together with your marriage certificate, and birth cert/s if you have a child or children (xerox and original), at the nearest SSS, and attach a copy of your SSS-stamped E4 to your E1. July 27, 2015 Daniel Gud am mrs.nora, if ever I get work now, my E1 shows I’m still single — my status when I got my SS #. But now I’m married, can I attach this E1 as a single status in my employment report to the company? July 25, 2015 Nora Hi Daniel, apply as self-employed. You’re not allowed to start with SSS as Voluntary. Use RS-1 self-employed form. Attach your proof of source of income, like business permit, or receipts of sales commission, or buy-and-sell receipts, or tricycle membership certification. Have your RS-1 approved and signed by SSS. Then pay your monthly contributions from month to month. You will be given a Date of Coverage after several months of payments. July 24, 2015 Daniel Good afternoon po Ms.Nora. I was a member as voluntary but had No Date of Coverage (DOC). I have already refunded my contributions. Whats the 2nd way to continue my Voluntary Membership? and how can I have a date of coverage? July 23, 2015 Nora Hi magie, were you employed previously? Did your previous employer reported you to SSS and pay your SSS? If yes, then you can continue paying as Voluntary without filling up any registration form. A voluntary member is a member who was previously employed, or previously OFW or previously self-employed. A new member cannot begin paying as Voluntary and continue paying as Voluntary. You should first be reported to SSS by your employer, or you apply first as self-employed, or as OFW, if you’re OFW. I’m saying this because you said SSS told you that you do not have a Date of Coverage (DOC), so you should fix this DOC problem first before continuing to pay. July 18, 2015 magie Ok Thank you so much Ms.Nora. What form should I file if I continue as a Voluntary member? July 17, 2015 Nora Hi Magie, it’s so sad that you paid for many years and you do not have a Date of Coverage. Did you file RS1 form and have it stamped and approved by SSS before you started paying? If you did not file RS1 form, sad to say, your payments will be considered invalid. What you can do is to write a letter to SSS and request SSS to refund all your payments because you did not know that you needed to file RS1 form first. You list all your payments and present the receipts that you have. To re-start correctly as SSS member, you need to file RS1 form and show SSS proof of your source of income before you start paying again. Ask others too, or ask SSS. July 17, 2015 magie I lost my receipts from 2007-2013 due to typhoon Santi. my documents were flooded. what should I do to get benefits from SSS. July 16, 2015 magie Good morning po, what should i do? I wish to file for maternity reimbursement because I had miscarriage. I paid as voluntary. Since I had my E1, I started paying at the bank and bayad center, then it was found in the System No Data coverage. what should I do to get benefits from SSS. thank you po, god bless. July 16, 2015 Nora Hi janine, you can go with your mother to the nearest SSS with her IDs and verify her SSS no. and contributions. Get verification slip from the guard or frontdesk officer. After verification, get SSS claim forms, fill them up, get other required documents and file her claim. If she paid 120 or more contributions, she can apply for pension. If she paid less than 120, she can claim her lump sum. July 11, 2015 janine good day mis nora. my mama is 65 years old. she has sss but she had not paid contributions for a long time. and she has forgotten her sss number. what should she do to get her pension? pls help. thank you po July 10, 2015 Nora Hi Lyn, yes, you continue paying as OFW. You can start at 550 pesos since the minimum salary credit set by SSS for OFWs is 5,000. Then you can increase by 1 or 2 levels from month to month. But if you want to pay a higher contribution immediately, you can, as obviously OFWs earn more than the maximum salary credit which is 16,000. If you decide to pay the maximum immediately, for record purposes, email firstname.lastname@example.org and attach a scan or photo of your first contribution payment receipt (first maximum payment) and a scan or photo of the Contributions Payment Form (Fill up the Declaration of Earnings portion) July 1, 2015 Lyn Can we continue SSS payment abroad as OFW? We use to pay in a lower income bracket, can we increase the monthly contribution too? June 30, 2015 Nora Hi Lis U, yes, you can continue paying. Yes, your previous 3-year contributions will be counted towards the 120-month qualification. The earliest retirement age is 60. Yes, you can increase your contributions. For your June payment, increase by 2 levels; then for your July payment, increase by another 2 level. Do the same every month until you reach the maximum. The last 60 contributions before semester of retirement will be significant in pension computation. June 8, 2015 Lis U Hello Nora, I have worked and contributed to SSS from 1981 to 1984, I left the country so there has been no contribution. I am back and wish to continue payment as voluntary contribution. Is the 3 years counted toward the 120 months? Or do I start over? If I continue as voluntary contributor can I start off at a higher MSC ? What is the earliest possible age for retirement if I am already 53 years old? Thanks in advance for your thoughts. June 3, 2015 rosalie c.nulada hi there! my sss loan check arrived when I already left for singapore. how can my family encash the check? is there any requirement? May 2, 2015 Nora Hi crystal, were you employed when you paid SSS in 2009 or before 2009? I asked to make sure you were properly reported to SSS, and that you have a Date of Coverage. When are you giving birth? Read this about semester of contingency, and see if you still have time to pay. Or you can write again here, and tell me your due date. You can pay what you’ve paid before, or you can increase or decrease by 2 brackets. April 21, 2015 crystal Good day can I use sss for my delivery? Since 2009 I have not paid. I also have a loan. Can I pay so I can avail? How much should I pay? April 15, 2015 roseane Tnx ms. Nora.., may i also ask what am i going to do if i forgot my username and password on my online account on sss even the email that i used upon registering… Tnx again… April 14, 2015 Nora Hi roseane, will you be giving birth in June 2015? If yes, you are eligible, since you’ve paid at least 3 contributions within 2014. You don’t need to pay for March 2015. File MAT2 as Employed because you’re currently employed (you’re on leave). April 14, 2015 Nora Hi roseane, sorry, your husband needs to show your marriage certificate to his employer to apply for a paternity leave. About your eldest child, sad to say, you cannot claim for this child, as you were not yet an SSS member when you gave birth to your eldest. A member can claim for a birth years before, as long as she was an active SSS member prior to giving birth and had paid at least 3 contributions before her semester of giving birth. April 14, 2015 roseane Can my husband file a paternity leave even if we’re not married? I’ve also read that I can file sss maternity benefit even if the child is already 5 years old? When I gave birth to my eldest, I was not yet an SSS member. My child was 2 years old when I started working. 5years old now. Can I claim benefits for him? April 13, 2015 roseane My last contribution as individual before i work was on april 2013 then i gave birth on august 2013 then started working again on september 2013 i think my over all contribution will be 36months on june… April 13, 2015 roseane I started working on my agency since september 2013 they are updated with my contributions… Do i need to pay my march contribution as an individual payer? April 13, 2015 Nora Hi roseane, yes, you can claim if your have paid at least 3 contributions within your semester of contingency. You can tell us your last 18 paid contributions so we can check (months, years and amounts) April 13, 2015 roseane Hi ate nora, i have already filed mat 1, but I’ve been on leave since february without pay. Can i still claim my sss benefit? April 13, 2015 Nora Hi Tria, if you’re in Kuala Lumpur, you can go to the SSS Desk with your ID and fill up OW-1 form, at SSS Office, No. 1 Jalan Changkat Kia Peng 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. If you don’t yet have your SSS No., bring your birth certificate. If you’re very far from their office, download this SSS OW-1 Overseas Worker Date Record form, fill it up, scan it and then email to email@example.com, together with a scan of your birth certificate, or passport main page, or baptismal certificate. I will be back to give the link to the form April 3, 2015 Tria Olivares I just wanna ask if how much i will contribute coz im ofw working here in malaysia and can i get your account number also April 2, 2015 Nora Hi Gigi, sorry you cannot transfer your contributions to another member’s account, and you cannot withdraw it earlier. You can only file your claim to get back your contributions when you turn 60. March 20, 2015 Gigi Hi there. I have contributions in my account for 51 months from year 2002 – 2006 when I was still working in Manila. However, since I already moved to Australia and changed my citizenship, I didn’t want to continue my contributions anymore and SSS membership. Is there any possibility that I can get my contributions or at least transfer it to my father’s account? March 20, 2015 Nora Hi jo, yes, you’re correct, the loan has gotten bigger because of the accumulated interests and penalties. You can go to any branch with your mother’s ID and authorization letter so you can verify her contributions and loan amount. Pay off her loan so it won’t wipe out her pension. March 2, 2015 Nora Hi cel, ask the branch where you filed your claim. Adjustment processing takes 3 to 6 months or more. March 1, 2015 jo Hi Ms. Nora, my mama had a contributions in sss for 12 years. She also had a loan from it, but decided to stop working a long time ago. I can’t say how long it was since she resigned but I think that was year 1998??. And she didn’t paid the said loan. I was wondering if she hadn’t paid it, the loan interest had been grow higher. Am I right? Thanks February 28, 2015 cel tanaka gud pm. where and how can we know if my father’s claim for adjustment has been processed? thanks February 28, 2015 shan Thanks ms.nora February 12, 2015 Nora Hi shan, are you in Kuwait? Yes, there’s an SSS desk there at Philippine Overseas Labor Office, Villa 152, Block 6, Nouman Bin Basher Street corner Damascus Road, Faiha Mobile Nos. (965) 6589-8699/6653-5323, Email: firstname.lastname@example.org / email@example.com, Representative: Juan D. Eribal Jr. Bring your Kuwait ID or passport or proof of employment. If you have your birth certificate there, bring it, in case your SSS ID is not yet permanent. February 9, 2015 shan I have E1 only. I want to contribute. thanks February 8, 2015 shan I don’t have my e1 here. my brother went to sss but was told I should be the one to go there in person. February 8, 2015 shan How can I fill up and file my Rs1 if I’m not in pinas. Can I do it here at the embassy pilipinas? What are the requirements? February 8, 2015 Nora Hi marian, was she employed before here in the Phils, and did she contribute to SSS as employed? Does she have a Date of Coverage? If yes, you can pay for her without filing any reactivation form with SSS. You can pay first at SSS using RS5 form, so you can have a transaction no. that you will use to enroll her at sss.gov.ph for her online SSS account. If she was never employed before in the Phils., she downloads this Overseas Worker Record form https://www.sss.gov.ph/sss/DownloadContent?fileName=SSSForms_OFW_Record.pdf even if she’s not OFW, and she can send it through postal mail (SSS address is in the form’s instructions). If she does not yet have an SSS no, she should attach a clear copy of her birth certificate/ If she’s in a city where there’s a Philippine SSS branch, she should file at that SSS branch. About condonation, sorry, I don’t know when they’ll offer it again, or if they have plans this year. January 29, 2015 marian hi! I’m asking in behalf of my aunt; she’s abroad. She wants to be a voluntary member, but it will be a long time before she takes a vacation here. can we just process her forms using authorization letter. she will fill out the forms then scan them back to us then we submit them to sss. is that allowed? thanks. and do you have any idea if they will offer condonation this year? thanks January 28, 2015 Nora Hi Aubrey, sad to say, what you’ll pay these months won’t be considered for your March delivery. To qualify for the benefit, SSS will check if you have at least 3 contributions within Oct 2013 to Sep 2014, as your semester of contingency is Oct 2014 to Mar 2015. You can no longer pay for last year. Ask others too January 25, 2015 Aubrey Hi ms gud am. I’m an inactive member of sss, I am giving birth this March and planning to voluntarily contribute so I am able to use my Maternity benefits. Is there a chance I can benefit with my contributions? and if ever yes, how many months should I pay ? Thank and more powers. January 25, 2015 Nora Hi Mark, your father can no longer be a beneficiary because he went away when you were young and never returned. He was never a dependent of your mother. The requirement is DEPENDENT spouse. Your proof can be an Affidavit of Two Disinterested Persons, or if you’re not sure that they were married, and if you like to check, you can apply for your mother’s Certificate of No Marriage from NSO, in case they weren’t married. Yes, your minor brother can get the same pension amount. But of course, the best is to go to SSS and ask. January 6, 2015 Mark Dela Cruz hi ms. nora gud day. ask about my mommy’s SSS pension. my father is not with us and we don’t know where he is. 1. can we get my mommy’s pension from SSS without my father, as we don’t know where he is. Since i was 3 years old, he has not shown himself to us 2. we can get the maximum pension benefits if ever my brother who’s 11 yrs old will file and i am the legal guardian. can we get the same benefits if ever, or is there a percentage as it’s a minor filing and not the spouse. thanks Ms. Nora =) January 5, 2015 Nora Hi yeng, yes, you need to show proof of source of income. Here’s how to apply as self-employed: http://sssphilippinesnotes.blogspot.com/2013/02/how-to-be-self-employed-sss-member.html November 16, 2014 yeng Hi ms.nora! SSS did not accept my application because I’m just a housewife. Do we need to submit requirements to prove that we have a business? November 16, 2014 Nora Hi Chayette, I replied to your question here: http://www.workingpinoy.com/2012/02/sss-contribution-table-philippines/ November 8, 2014 Chayette Hi. I have paid my loan this month. Can I loan as a voluntary member? I have 80 contributions. Thanks November 6, 2014 Nora Hi Eva, your loan is equal to the average of your 12 latest posted salary credits. In the future when you accumulate 72 contributions, you can borrow double your average salary credit. October 25, 2014 Nora Hi Eva, you should have accumulated at least 36 posted monthly contributions. October 25, 2014 EvA what’s the minimum amount that we can loan? October 24, 2014 EvA Hi Ms. nora how many months or years before we can loan from SSS? October 24, 2014 Nora Hi ann, the number of leave days that will be paid by SSS depends on the surgeon’s recommendation and SSS approval. About Philhealth, you should have filed before discharge and your benefit should have been deducted from your bill. About coverage for the brace removal, I’m not sure if it will be covered because it’s the same case within 90 days, but the specific procedure is different. Ask the hospital. October 23, 2014 ann vicencio hello, my husband’s hand was operated on. It has metal as there was fracture. He was confined 4 days at the hospital. We did not yet file for sss sickness. After 6 weeks, the same procedure of operation for removal of metal brace. Can we get also double from sss and phil health? thanks October 22, 2014 Nora Hi Chayette, yes, you can pay off your delinquent loan balance so your maternity benefit will be in full, without deduction. October 16, 2014 Chayette Hi. can i make 5 monthly payments for my loan so i can avail in full my maternity benefits? thanks a lot nora. god bless October 15, 2014 Nora Hi Chayette, you can file your maternity claim, if you’re eligible, even if you have a delinquent loan. But SSS will use your benefit to pay off your delinquent loan, and give you the difference, if there is. This rule is written in the salary loan form. October 14, 2014 Chayette Hi Nora. It’s been 3 years that my SSS loan has not been paid because my employer did not pay it. Now I’m a voluntary member and I paid for 2nd quarter. Will my previous loan affect my maternity benefit? September 29, 2014 Nora Hi ella, you can go to SSS with your ID and verify your contributions. Or you can register at sss.gov.ph so you can check your contributions. Ask your employer’s SSS no. so you can register online. About SSS ID, go very early in the morning to an SSS branch with an ID machine and apply for your ID. September 1, 2014 ella I’d like to know if my former employer remitted the SSS contributions they deducted from our payroll. We’ve never been issued an ID. How can I know if my contributions were remitted to SSS? thanks god bless. September 1, 2014 Mark Dela Cruz hi ms. nora gud day. ask ko lng po ung SSS pension na mommy ko. wala na po ung father ko and ndi namin alam kung nasan na xa. may questions po sana ako i hope masagot nyo po 1. makukuha po b namin ung pension ni mommy sa SSS without my father hindi na po kasi namin alam kung nasan na xa kasi since i was 3 yrs old ndi na xa nagpakita sa amin. 2. we can get the maximum pension benefits if ever ung brother kong 11 yrs old ang magfile and iam the legal guardian na nya ngyn. makukuha po b namin ung same benefits if ever, or may percentage lng kasi minor ang magfifile at ndi ang spouse. thanks Ms. Nora =) August 22, 2014 Nora Hi jo, eligibility is the same as those for salary loan, which is: at least 36 contributions, with 6 contributions paid in the past 12 months. If you have an existing salary loan, your balance will be deducted from your new loan. Your location should have been declared as a calamity area after Glenda. You might be asked to submit a barangay certification that you live in a calamity area. August 21, 2014 jo hi miss Nora!, may I ask what are the requirements for sss calamity loan. I am planning to apply this September. I am from bacoor, cavite. Another thing is, do I really need to show a picture of our house to prove that we are affected by a typhoon? I have heard such rumors from my co-worker. Tnx:) August 21, 2014 jaime m. dimaano how did you get the range of compensation of an employee or which are included in getting the range ( Daily wage + cola+ 5 days incentive, not included the 13th month pay)?is the 13th month pay included in the bracketing of sss compensation? if not what particular circular /memorandum does it support to this question? Thanks August 18, 2014 Mike Mam Nora meron po akong SSS E-1 back year 2009 then up to now never ko po nahulugan or d ko alam sa agency ko before kung nahulugan pero sa tingin ko wala talaga, now ang tanong ko po is kung active pa po ba SSS # ko?balak ko kasi ako nalang mag babayad tulad ng philhealth ko ako nag babayad para sure talaga na babayaran.saka magkano po ngayon yung contribution sa SSS,saka PAG-IBIG? Maraming Salamat po! August 18, 2014 Nora Hi erwin, you get 7 days of paid leave August 16, 2014 erwin lozarita Gud eve po gusto ko lng po malaman pag nanganak po ung misis ko at mag file ako ng paternity leave anu po ba benefits makukuha ko sa sss tnx August 15, 2014 Nora Hi jinny, you can no longer pay for past years. What’s your SSS payment deadline? If you deliver in Oct or Nov or Dec 2014, and your deadline for 2nd quarter is not yet past, you can pay at SSS for Apr to June so you can avail. If you deliver in the first quarter of 2014, you can pay Jul Aug Sep 2014 so you can avail, including Apr to June (if your deadline is not yet past). July 15, 2014 jinny Can i avail the maternity benefit? I became a member of sss in 2007. I paid diligently from 2007-2010. Last 2010 i stop working and enrolled in masteral studies. 2011 i was employed again in a local government unit on a contractual basis. We have no deductions for Sss and i was not able to pay on voluntary contribution. Am I eligible for sss maternity benefit? Or what if i will pay retroactively for 3 months that will cover the 12 month contingency term, in such case can i avail of the benefit? July 15, 2014 Nora Hi Virgilio, I think I answered your question in another post. You might be required to apply for a replacement ID because SSS ID is one of the requirements for claiming your pension. Bring 300 pesos for the replacement ID, Affidavit of Loss of ID and your other IDs. June 26, 2014 Nora Hi elouie, register at sss.gov.ph so you can check your records online.
