If you’re an OFW and you’re choosing between University of the East and another university or college for your child, then you might as well choose UE because it has a tuition fee discount program for OFW children.
The only requirements are:
- Student’s birth certificate issued by the NSO
- Photocopy of OFW parent’s passport
- Updated OEC issued by the POEA
Additionally, the student must enroll at least 18 units per semester.

Hi Jem, it’s only at EARIST so far where I saw stenography being offered as a short-term course — maybe this subject is now included in BS Legal Management. Your daughter can try entering state universities such as PUP, TUP, RTU, and EARIST and work as a call center agent while studying during her 2nd or higher years. Many working students commenting here say they’re working as call center agents.
I have not heard about this before ,, but thanks it would be a great help.. I’m looking for a school for my daughter since she want to be a lawyer, I suggested to take up a diploma in stenographer then pursue her career once she got a job as court stenographer. How will I know if there is Any program’s offered in this university. Best regards
