What do I need to register with Philhealth?

Bring your ID, any kind of ID.

If you don’t have an ID, bring a photocopy of your birth certificate or baptismal certificate or barangay certificate.

Bring your pen too.

If you want to pay your first contribution immediately after registration, bring 600 pesos for your first quarter’s payment. If you’re short on cash, ask if they are accepting 200 pesos (first month) as your first payment.

What will I get from registering with Philhealth and paying my premiums or contributions?

Philhealth will pay part of your hospitalization costs in case you’re hospitalized. The amount that will be paid by Philhealth will not depend on your total bill, but on your diagnosis and treatment or the medical procedure done.

Philhealth will pay the same amount for the same illness or medical procedure regardless of whether you were treated in an expensive hospital or a lower-cost hospital, so try your best to find a good but not so expensive hospital.

What should I bring to the hospital to avail of Philhealth?

  1.  Your Philhealth payment receipts covering the months required
  2.  Your Philhealth MDR
  3.  Optional: Philhealth ID if you have, or any other ID
