Who will fight for the planholders of Platinum Plans, Ideal Pension Plans, Grayline Plans and the Other Failed and Uncaring Pre-need Firms?

Here is a suggestion from Leo of Iloilo City to his fellow planholders of Platinum Plans:
I’m a platinum plan holder as well from Iloilo City. Here are my suggestions to all platinum plan holders.
(1) For those of us who are able, we should file a “Claimant’s Request for Assistance” at the Department of Finance, Insurance Commission. The more claims filed the better and the strong our case will be against platinum plans. Here is the link to the claim form. In the claim form you find the address where to file your claimant’s request for assistance.

(2) File your claim to the PPI liquidator c/o Myra (refer to information from previous discussion for address and the document you will need to provide).
(3) We should have a list of platinum plan holders with sufficient information in that list. I will volunteer to create, gather, and update the list. Having this list will allow us to create an electronic mailing list for quicker and efficient dissemination of information on future plan of actions.
I anticipate that compiling this list would be time consuming so I would suggest that you prepare your information in excel. Your information (see below) should be entered in excel following the exact sequence from the left-most column (column A) to right column (column G).
The information should include the following:
(a) Full Name (as it appears in the Certificate of Full Payment)
(b) Policy Number
(c) Date Fully Paid
(d) Plan Benefit Value
(e) Email Address
(f) Telephone Number
(g) Address (complete, including postal code)
Then email to me with your information in excel as attachment to this address pppi.members@yahoo.com
If some of the information I listed above does not apply to you, for example, your plan is not fully paid yet, etc., kindly provide the most information available, leaving the excel cell blank if the information is not available.
Again, it is important that you follow the format to minimize typing. If the information are in the correct format, I simply copy-paste your information to the master list instead of re-typing.
If there are several plan members in your area, it would be helpful if you create just one list for your group and then send just one email with one excel attachment.
(4) Share my email to other platinum plan members you know of.
(5) Visit this website once in a while for further information. Also, keep us informed if there are new developments that are of important to other plan members.
I understand there is a facebook account created for platinum plans. I’ll try to connect there later.
Some Ideas
We might need to get a very good lawyer to represent us. I already hired a lawyer for myself but it might be good idea to file a mass claim with just one lawyer – could be cheaper and together our voice would be stronger. Let me know what you think and I will also consult my lawyer.
I have a copy of the revised rehabilitation document filled by PPPI in 2005, approved 27 April 2006 by Judge Romeo F Barza, Regional Trial Court, Branch 61, Makati City, MM. I can share this copy to everyone interested.

2. Abundance Providers and Entrepreneurs Corp (formerly Pacific Plans Inc.) — traditional education plans)
3. Platinum Plans Philippines — education, life and pension plans

There are other pre-need firms that failed, but they’re trying their best to return at least a part, if not a big part, of what they got from planholders. One is Pryce Plans. I know because my friend has been getting money and goods from this pre-need firm. Despite difficulties, Pamana was able to give checks to another friend of mine for her children’s education. A niece was able to get checks from CAP.
Permanent Plans has been updating its website for its planholders since it decided to stop operating. It has a letter to its planholders explaining its decision and its subsequent plans. Its latest report is dated February 25, 2011, which is a list of planholders for liquidation payment.
Prudentialife Plans was ordered by the SEC to stop selling pre-need plans, but it has continued servicing its pre-need planholders. The firm has diversified into other businesses, such as financial services, non-life insurance, health care, real estate, travel and leisure services.
Danvil Plans discontinued selling its portfolio to Legacy when it was warned about the condition of Legacy despite a higher purchase bid from Legacy. And it continued servicing its planholders through an insurance firm. I know — I got my maturity benefits.
The owners and executives of most of the firms above have what we call integrity, moral values, compassion, and a sense of right and wrong.
Can we say the same of the owners of Platinum Plans, Ideal Pension Plans and Grayline Plans? Do these owners feel comfortable FEEDING THEIR CHILDREN and GRANDCHILDREN with the money grabbed from hardworking farmers, teachers, soldiers, laborers, and low-paid employees who sacrificed to be able to pay their premiums monthly so their children can have a good future?
Who will fight for these suffering planholders? Government officials? The courts? Politicians?
They have not. So perhaps a court higher than all the supreme courts on earth will.

Under liquidation na po ang Ideal. The court is in the process of approving the liquidation plan. Kailan makukuha ang pera? Di po natin masasabi. It could be months or even years from now. Huwag po tayong mag expect na makukuha natin ng buo ang contract price. Approximately 20% lang makukuha. Depende sa mabebentang ari-arian ng court appointed liquidator, baka mas malaki o mas maliit ang makukuha.

My husband and my mother also have this problem with the Platinum Plans.. we supposed to end our maturity las September 2009, but we still no claims was recieved yet up to this time..Where can we ask for the HELP?

Hi Amelia, marami nga ang nagrereklamo against Platinum, Ideal at Grayline. Kaya I wrote about these pre-need firms, hoping that this blog can help connect planholders together so they can work together to fight for their money. There are several Platinum planholders calling for cooperation on the PEP Coalition website.

Hi Mav, nakakalungkot at makes me angry nga itong sa Platinum. Parang wala. Na-rehab pero parang wala namang result, hindi naman nag-distribute ng natirang assets. Walang update, walang news. Wala na rin sila sa address nila. Na-dismiss daw yong case against the Salas family. Sana magsama-sama ang mga Platinum planholders to make noise in the media para mapansin sila. Even if it seems it’s useless at first, file a complaint with the SEC and with the IC. IC complaint process – email or mail. SEC complaint process.

Hi Mark, so sad, pero parang ang labo na ng Platinum, except lang kung may mabuo sanang Platinum planholder group. Doon sa website ng PEP Coalition, may mga nag-comment doon na di na nila makita yong office ng Platinum sa Makati, at may isang nagsabi na ang rehabilitation ng Platinum ay on-going pa. Sa ganyang katagal, baka naubos na ang mga assets. Perhaps I’ll write a single blogpost on Platinum and I’ll see kung makaipon ng planholders na mag-comment.

Yong sa Legacy plans, nag-ingay din naman, pero sabi ng SEC wait for further announcements kasi nasa court pa ang kaso, etc. Ang SIP-500 ba Ideal? Ang Ideal nasa court din sa Makati — ano kaya ang matitirang assets after many years na nasa court? Ganon din ang Platinum – matagal nang nasa court.
Request ko lang sana magbigay sila ng aviso kung meron mang resulta lalung lalo na dito sa Davao at iba’t ibang probinsya. Yung pension na lang ang inaasahan naming magkapatid dahil matanda na kami gayun din siguro sa libu-libong mga pensioner.

I do hope Platinum Plans will be able to pay their plan holders.
Their rehabilitation is way to long. I have read something before that they were supposed to pay off their plan holders in 2011 or 2012. I do wish they stick to what they’re saying about paying off by 2014. They should at least take responsibility for the flopped investing decisions they have made which should have aimed to reach their promised benefits for their plan holders.

Hi Mav, yon nga ang problema, sana makaubo ng planholder group para makalapit sa mga legislators. Mas effective kasi kapag may grupo kesa yong ilan-ilan lang. Sana makaipon ng mga Platinum planholders dito. Mga more or less 10 pa lang kasi nagco-comment dito na Platinum. Pero in the meantime, you can file a claim with the Insurance Commission kahit email lang.

hi everyone me-ann here…fresh graduate at hnd ko na nagamit ung platinum plans ko at due na xa ngayon april 2011 sbe ng mom ko hanapin ko daw sa net san office then may tinawagan ako sbe sa makati city hall branch 39 at ang sunget pa ng nakausap ko!(ggrrr!). After a few days i search again and i saw this habang pabababa ang basa ko nawawalan na ako ng pagasa makuha pa ung aking educational plan ko..2014??para naman kalokohan pnagsasabi nila eh every year pahirap ng pahirap buhay dito.. pasalamat na lng ako at grumaduate ako last month without their help(platinum plans). Graduate nga wla naman trabaho…
Hi Me-ann, congrats at graduate ka na. at congrats sa parents mo that you were able to study even without Platinum. Punta ka sa mga job fairs, sa phil-job.net (Dole), jobsdb.com, sa job boards ng munisipyo mo. Para makatipid ka sa pictures at docs, submit ka lang sa medyo alam mo na strong ang chances mo to qualify.

Hi Bing, what’s your pension plan company? How long have you been paying your plan? If you terminate your plan, you’ll lose all or a big part of the money that you’ve paid.

Nag update ako ng record ko dahil bago na ang landline ko baka at once they will inform me about the latest issue RE: PLATINUM PLANS. negative pa rin ang sagot but follow-up lang ang kailangan natin para mapilitan silang gumalaw. Graduate na ang anak pero ni singkong duling wala kaming nagamit don sa hinulog namin. baka bukas magka-apo na ko dun lang magagamit ang pre-need nya. please pass!

as of 2:00 PM, tumawag na naman ako sa platinum and certain NANCY ang sumagot sa call ko (hawak nya ang CAP). nag update ako ng phone ko tapos ask ko cya kung marami ang tumatawag sabi nya marami na daw. ala pa rin balita kung kelan ang balikan ng pera natin. so wait pa rin ba tau o may gagawin na tayong paraan na madali nating makuha ang pondo natin.

thnx sa message mo. agree ako sa suggestion mo na i-call ang attention ng lahat ng planholders (matured and or pa mature pa lang) para updated tau sa lhat ng ngyayari. good way para sama sama tau sa pagfollow up and at the same time sabay sabay nating mareceive yung hinulog natin. at dun sa pamature pa lng para aware na cla kung saan ang kelan nila mattanggap yung para sa kanila.

Ako po ay magccollege na ngayon at dahil sa Platinum Plans na yan hindi ako makakapag aral sa dream school ko na UST. Well not big deal po sa akin kahit sa PUP na lang po ako mag-aaral nung highshool educ plans ko po hindi po nagamit dahil bankcrupt nga daw po sila and yun para ngayon sa college educ plan ko mukhang wala parin talagang mangyayari nakakalungkot po. If 2014 pa makukuha yun wala naring sense na magagamit ko ung educ plans ko dahil almost ggraduate na ko nun sa college. Nakakapanghinayang ang efforts ng magulang ko sa pagbabayad ng educ plans ko na nauwi lang sa bulsa ng Salas na yan.

hi im mean, about 30 minutes ago i called liquidator’s office at 7593305 and a certain myra (secretary of mr. marcelo) entertained my call.
sabi ni myra, liquidation of assets are on-going and once settle, platinum will start to pay the plan holders. but, as to when she didn’t know yet. i tried to speak with mr.marcelo kaya lang wala ito at mosts often ay nasa court ito.
i noiticed with above’s conversation, almosts ay matured na ang policy but mine kasi hindi natapos ang payment, i had may educational plan for my daughter(5years) and i paid 2.5 years, may makukuha ba ako or may maibabalik ba sa akin? i asked these question kay myra and she herself don’t know what to answer but she’s going to ask mr. marcelo about it and midnext week magpafollow-up call ako sa kanya. and by the way, myra dont even know office address of platinum or if there still an existing office.

Isa rin po akong Platinum Plan (educational plan) holder. Ikinuha ako ng nanay ko nung Youth Plans pa pangalan nya. Fortunately, nagamit ko naman sya from 1998-2001 (hindi pa sila lubog nun). 5 years yung course ko (Engineering) pero 4 years lang yung covered which is fine.
Fortunately sa UP ako nag-aaral noon(old tuition fee, 7K/sem maximum) pero every enrollment kailangan ko muna abonohan yung tuition then saka ako pupunta sa office ng Platinum sa ortigas (tektite towers) to claim the check.
Sa policy ko nun, supposedly kaya nila akong paaralin sa UST if ever nag avail ako eh kaso kahit sa oublic school ako nag-aral hindi pa umabot sa 6K yung na rereimburse ko.
Kung tutuusin, hindi na ako apektado. Pero yung lola ko ay ikinuha rin pala ng nanay ko ng pension plan sa Platinum (sabay kami) and fully paid na yung policy. Wala pa syang nakukuha.
Pag bakasyon ko sa Pinas babalikan ko sila sa office nila sa Ortigas. I still know how to go to their office (kung dun pa rin sila)

At saka, saan kaya dito ang puede sa pre-need claims kung sakali?

Dapat magkalap ng mga pangalan (name)at lagda (signature)ng libo libong biktima ng platinum plans. Ipa abot sa mga biktima mula sa Metro Manila, North Luzon, South Luzon,Visayas at Mindanao sa pamamaraan ng diyaryo, radio or telebisiyoon. Mag bigay kayo ng isang address kung saan ipapadala ito.
Kapag nakalap na ito, dapat ay idulog sa isang congressman, senador o di kaya sa vice-president na may tapat ng pagtulong sa mga maliliit na tao.
Ang congressman, senador o ang vice-president ang mag dudulog sa Justice Secretary. Dapat iharap sa committee ng kongresso or senado ang mga may ari ng platinum plans. Meron dapat media exposure sa t.v at radyo. Hangga’t hindi na-i-sa-sa-publiko ito, walang mangyayari.

I went to their office in Banawe a few months ago to get a copy of my certificate of full payment since 2008 pa ko natapos sa pagbabayad sa kanila and to my surprise, they are already suggesting na i-withdraw ko na yun plan ko kaya lan bago m-process ang mga papeles I have to sign daw their waiver for quit claims and it was indicated in the papers that I am already paid even if wala pa naman yun payment, di tuloy ako makapagpa-process till now coz ayokong pirmahan yun waiver.. What they are doing is really illegal…Ni walang notice na ganun na pala sitwasyon… What can we do now???

I am a policy holder of a failed preneed platinum plans. I was issued with a certificate of full payment on July 11, 2005. The Platinum Plans have failed to distribute their assets to their victims despite the order of Makati court. They applied for the rehabilitation program but nothing as yet has been transparent to me. It seems that this is not bringing lights for our quest for justice and financial settlement.
Please extend your lifeline for us, the victims. Any good assistance that you will give on this matter will be highly appreciated.

Nahihirapan po kasi kaming magbayad ng tuition ko sa college.Sana po makatulong po kayo.Maraming salamat po.
Ang latest ko pong alam sa Platinum ay TERMINATED na ang Rehabilitation Plan nila effective Feb 11, 2011.Based po yan sa Court Order na inissue ng RTC Branch 61 Makati sa sala po ni Judge Cedrick Ruiz. Ang appointed pong LIQUIDATOR ay si Mr. Mamerto Marcelo na may mandate po to take possession of all the properties na pag aari ng Platinum at ibenta with the approval of the court pa rin. Eto po yung case No. SP Proc. No M-6101. Pwede po kayong pumunta doon para humingi ng court order or tumawag po kayo sa tel no. ni Mr. Marcelo sa 7593305.

A while ago, I tried to call 02-687-7612 but couldn’t be reached. The employee, Naty Lacuna with CP number 09209481201 is just ringing everytime i dial. I tried then to search and came to this . . I read all the comments and thanks for the info especially the new address and telephone number, which I still have to contact. But I have a question . . How sure are we that the name Marcelo, as mentioned, represents the victims? You know, what is worst is i recruited a lot of subscribers for Platinum and most availed of the pension which matured already in 2010 including mine. Nagtataka lang ho ako ngayon parang tahimik lang ang kampo ni Sir Mar Roxas tungkol sa Platinum plans ang akala ko pa naman sila ang makakatulong sa atin. Sumulat ako sa Pangulo pero wala akong natanggap na kaukulang sagot… Ang case ko naman ho ay nagterminate ako ng aking pension plan naka 80% na ako ng aking pagbabayad ng malaman ko ang problema ng platinums ang advised sa akin ng pinsan kong abogado wag ko na lang ituloy dahil hindi ako makakasiguro kung magiging ok ang resulta nito pero sa tingin nya ay malabo in which tama nga sya… kaya lang di nila naibigay sa akin ang termination claims ko in which nagkwenta pa sila sa akin at binigyan pa ako ng list kung magkano na lang ang makukuha ko at ng aking asawa pero di ko naman nakuha dahil nga naka freeze daw ang account ng platinum plans ang tanong ngayong tapos na ang rehabilitation prang lalong naging malabo ko ng makuha ang claims ko sa kanila nakausap ko si Myra at inalam ang lahat ang advised niya sa akin ibang case daw kasi ang akin kaya pinapupunta nila ako sa RTC Makatin branch 61 ang ginawa ko pinatawag ko muna ang asawa ko sa RTC kamukat mukat ba naman need ko pa palang mag file ng case hay naku eh mauubos lang sa pagbabayad sa abogado tapos di pa ako sure kung mananalo ang case ko prang di ako makapaniwala na ako na ngang nadehado prang wla pa akong magagawa sobrang nanghihina ako dahil marami na akong sinulatan pra dito pero sa bandang huli ay para sa wla lang din mapupunta…kung meron man malakas ang loob po sa inyo dyan try nyo kayang humingi ng tulong kay tulfo baka sakaling makalampag nila ang dapat kalampagin…
Si Marcelo ay bina bayaran ni Salas para kunwari siya ang namamahala ng Liquidation. Pero sa totoo lang walang pang bayad ang may ari ng Platinum Plans kasi talagang swindler at mangloloko lang ang mga ito.

Based on this article, http://www.accessmylibrary.com/coms2/summary_0286-11574763_ITM. The decision of the court was to give Platinum Plans another chance to start operation. But now na wala na silang office, it is safe to conclude na they are not planning to start operating again.
What we all need to do is to unite and continue with the case filed and prove to the court that Platinum Plans will not resume operations again and they should start paying the plan holders.
What are our plans to unite?

I am a plan holder as well with Platinum Plans, all told my pension matured already last 2011… I thought that this was a good investment but I was wrong, I should have invested my money to something else. Gud pm, plan holder po ang mr. ko under grayline plan Inc. 2009 pa ako nag file ng claim & 1 of d requirements ay yung waiver & quit claim, before i submitted sa W&QC I i spoke to d field manage here in comval and i even called also through long dist. call ang grayline manila regarding sa W&QC isa lang sabi nila hindi daw maprocess ung claim kapag hindi ko submit ung W&QC so nagsubmit & oder requirements, miss cherryl of grayline manila told me that after 6-9 months after filing sa claim. I kept on followed-up and sabi ni cheryl until 2012 daw ang pagbayad sa mga plan holder kasi ang assets ng grayline ang union bank ang nkabili pinoprocess pa daw ang mga papers, pero nagtaka ako bkit hanggang ngayon wala pa at hindi na rin makontak ung tel. nos. nila. hope for the best nalang.

Platinum Plans – another big time swindler like Legacy Plans

Seems like that the radar of Investigative Journalists/Reporters of ABS-CBN News, In the Service of The Filipino People, is not working that well.
You are missing out one of the biggest crook and swindler in the Pre-Need Industry. Rotarian Ernesto L. Salas Sr. & his family (daughter Rhodora Salas and son Ernesto R. Salas Jr.) are the sole owners of Platinum Plans Philippines Inc.
Immediately after CAP and Pacific Plans, they have closed shop well before Legacy Plans. The difference is that they have never been under public scrutiny. They are wiser than most of these companies.
Salas had filed for a dubious Rehabilitation or Receivership with the a Makati court in an effort to create some form of legal defense to make them free and clear of their obligation to thousands of Filipino families amounting to millions of pesos.
The company has no trust fund to begin with. But because of this, they use this as cover to be prosecuted and quietly sell their assets amounting to millions and be spared of prosecutiom and public condemnation.
The 3 Salas family members were supposed to be arraigned in a Caloocan court for syndicated estafa. On the day of arraignment, a miracle happened – the prosecutor dismissed the case.
Here you will uncover a web of deceipt, corruption, protectionism from government officials – SEC, Prosecutor’s Office, etc. The Salas family is well known to Senator Villar and Speaker Jose De Venecia.
The Salas family’s lived and still are living a jet-jet life style but have victimed thousands of pre-need planholders. They presently live at Madison Suites in Dela Rosa Makati, Prince Plaza 2 in Legaspi village Makati, and Executive Townhomes in Valle Verde. Allegdely, they have sold their offices at World Center in Makati to the tune of almost P30 million through the receivership program. They drive in chauffer driven bullet proof Mercedes Benzes and BMW’s and with uniformed bodyguards. “Who are their protectors?!?”
So, will thousands of planholders of Platinum Plans ever be paid for their matures plans by Platinum Plans, who have used over the years, advertising in Eat Bulaga via the Little Miss Philippines contest, to mislead the masses into believing that their dreams will come true.
Please forward this message to Willard Cheng or Mariton Pacheco so these crooks can now be exposed.

Kailangan na talaga kumilos tayo habang may panahon pa at baka ang pamilyang Salas ay nakakaramdam na palakas at palakas na itong grupo nating mga platinum holder claimants ay aalis na naman yan ng ibang bansa. Tulad ng mga corrupt officials and private businessmen tatakas yan kung medyo tagilid na ang labanan. Kaya panalo si Pnoy bilang pangulo natin dahil sa suporta ng taong bayan na ang kanyang mga pangako ay lutasin ang mga corruption problems sa bansa. Itong ke Ernesto Salas ay corruption din yan sa pera ng mga planholders on his privately owned business. So please if possible we will bring this issues to president Noynoy for him to decide kung anong tulong na magagawa niya we will appreciate it.

hangga’t ngayon wala pa akong balita. wala po ako sa pilipinas at hindi ko po alam kung paano na sila i-contact.

All we knew here at copy we had ay 8yrs ang waiting frame mula ng marehab ang company at umpisa ang bilang ntin last 2005, kya dapat med of 2013 everyone’s hoping mapasakamay na ang na-invest nmin based dun sa pangako nila na as long hawak mo ang “full paymnt certificate”.
But lately ang nasagap nmin na nagfile daw ng “Bankcruptcy” ang family Salas, ibig sabihin ba nito wala na tayo aasahan????

Hi Arnold, gumagamit ka na ng mga cuss words at iba pa, kaya nagback-read ako para mabasa kung na-mention mo na Platinum planholder ka, wala akong makita. Malimit sabi mo “you”, “mag-hire kayo ng gunmen” at “ang gulo niyo, puro kayo plano,” “you need to do that in a drastic way”. Bakit hindi “tayo”?
Noong isinulat ko ito, I thought na ito ay magiging paraan para magkakakilala ang mga Platinum, Ideal at Grayline planholders at para makaisip sila ng paraan, kasi yong planholders ng Pacific, nakabuo naman sila ng group. Kung hindi man thru the courts, kasi expensive, ay thru the media. Kasi kung makagawa ng ingay, makakakuha ng attention.
Hindi ko inisip na magagamit ito for angry confrontations, especially between planholders. I understand ang mga emosyon, kasi galit din ako noong muntik nang ibenta ang Danvil sa Legacy. Pero, we should be mature in dealing with our problems. In some cases, anger is good, because it can push us to get things moving. Pero, it’s not good if it causes further conflicts.
As you’ve seen, I did not delete threatening words against Salas because I feel they came out of frustrations and anger from people deceived/betrayed greatly by Salas. But if it deteriorates to conflicts between readers/planholders, and to cuss words addressed to other readers, I think I need to say something.
Arnold, thank you for your comments and for expressing your emotions (that may or can inspire others to lead or to get things going), but please do it without those terms — I know you know what I mean.
By the way, opinyon ko lang, dahil mahirap makaipon ng maraming tao sa isang lugar, kasi we have jobs and families to attend to, at ang marami ay malayo, bakit hindi na lang mag-discuss online. Sa Facebook group na na-create, puede namang magpalitan ng suggestions doon. Puedeng gumawa ng running list doon ng planholders, ex: 1. N. Valdez, Plan Type A, Imus, Cavite. 2. S. Santos, Plan Type C, Baguio City., etc. Yong email addresses at phone numbers, hide na lang muna sa public, kasi baka ma-spam/scam lang. Si Jo Buenaventura, gumagawa ng list. Puedeng mag-start diyan.
At itong post na ito, pang-attract na lang ng mga iba pang planholders.

Arnold, your suggestion is great, kasi makaka-attract agad ng attention. Pero kelangang may significant number ng tao, mga 100 siguro? At papaano makaipon ng tao diyan sa lugar na yan kung hindi mag-agree muna via text, online, email at magcollect ng commitment from each participant on a certain day and time?
What I can do is to give the email addresses of all those who have commented here to Jo, but I have to get an emailed permission from each of these commenters if they like their email addresses to be disclosed to a third party. I must comply with Google privacy policies. But I’ll start asking commenters only when there’s at least a core group formed, and if they ask for these email addresses. I can’t be a part of this core group as I’m not a Platinum planholder. I was a Danvil planholder.
Hi Jo, happy new year! I applaud you because your child got a college degree with zero money from Platinum. Yes, I really empathize with planholders kasi planholder din ako, ibang company nga lang, at nakuha ko yong sa akin. Pero itong mga huli, 50% na rin lang ang naibibigay out right and the other 50 percent, spread out over 5 years — pero much better pa rin siya compared to Platinum and the others. Nors ano na ba ang talagang balita sa Danvil, Nag babayad parin ba sila sa mga plan Holder kasi nadito ako sa Canada at continues pa rin sila nag de deduct sa account ko sa pinas, may isa pa ang plan na dapat tapusin ang bayad pero ung dalawa kong plan eh tapos na nasa akin na ung certificate so pwede ko na syang kunin sa 2014, ano ba ang suggestion mo continues ko pa rin ba ung isa? Please let us know kung ano naba talaga ang balita sa Danvil?

Hi Paul, before Christmas, tumawag ako sa Makati office using the phone number na noon pa gamit ay yon pa rin naman ang phone, at andon pa naman si Eleazer, yong customer service supervisor na lagi kong nakakausap dati. Nakuha ko na kasi yong akin on maturity date, last Oct 2010, in full amount, kaya hindi na ako masyadong tumatawag doon. Pero according sa mga recent na kumuha ng maturity benefits nila, 50% of benefit ang nakuha nila, tapos yong 50% spread out over 5 years ang pagbigay, starting one year after the 50-percent payout. Ito raw ang napagkasunduan ng Danvil with the Insurance Commission para ma-conserve ang assets nila (na sa opinion ko ay di masyadong kumikita kasi tumigil na nga silang magbenta ng plans at nagse-service na lang. Obviously, Danvil forged an agreement with Phil Prudential Life Insurance (PPLIC), kasi PPLIC ang nagse-service sa mga planholders, pero I don’t know the arrangement. When I got my benefits, the PPLIC officer who served me said that Danvil Plans was sold to PPLIC, but I’m not sure. About your still-being-paid plan, I can’t give a definite advice, kasi of course I can’t predict what will happen. I suggest you email Eleazer L. Do not be ignorant. The Salas family made a living thru this obvious pre-need company scam. They have already used hard earned money of thousands of planholders to enrich themselves. So do not expect to get anything out of them. The conpany does not have a Trust Fund at all to pay cliams from planhjolders. They are trying to sell all their assets. The rehab plan was filed with the courts so that the creditor banks and planholders cannot collect from them. Even if they can pay, the first in line are the creditor banks and not the planholders. The best way to go after them is to file a Syndicated Estafa. Otherwise, all of this is a waste of time. For the Salas family, they continue to enjoy the money they robbed from the planholders.

Dissatisfied planholders of Platinum Plans Philippines Inc. were surprised to learn that the arraignment of the firm’s owners for estafa has been reset.
Despite the downpour yesterday morning, a number of complainants led by Jefferson Yubontoy listened to clerk of court Lilian de Guzman state that Ernesto Salas Sr. and children Ernesto Jr. and Ma. Rhodora would be arraigned before Caloocan Regional Trial Court Branch 128 on Sept 17, 2010.
George King, counsel of Yubontoy’s group Platinum Plans Victims Alliance Now was not around.
Judge Eleanor Kwong had to start the proceedings after repeated calls for the complainants were unheeded.
First Assistant City Prosecutor Alvin Amora filed a motion to withdraw information with the approval of Caloocan City Prosecutor Ramon Rodrigo.
Platinum Alliance has 10 days from July 14 to comment on the motion which also sought to have the case dismissed, a twist that left Yubontoy and his colleagues more perplexed.
Isn’t the case already in this court? Why does it have to go back to the prosecution where in fact, this court has the jurisdiction over the case? Delaying tactics lang nila yon,? he fumed.
Another claimant said she was denied entry into Kwongs sala without the presence of the Platinum Alliance lawyer.
The Salases are facing 14 counts of estafa following their arrest last April 15 in Pasig City; they are out on bail.

Mga kasamang Planholder’s baka naman puede kayong tumulong mag-research sa mga hidden properties at mga ari-ari-an ni Ernesto Salas at iyon ang tatapatan natin. Kung isang malaking grupo tayo na nagkakaisa na hawak natin mga kopya ng dokomento kahit isang pasada lang kasama ang mga media at ipapaalam din natin sa mga military para may kunting protection. In my personal analysis ang nangyaring collapse ng mga Pre-Need Plans na ito particularly Platinum Plans Phil.,Inc. ay sabwatan ng gobyerno in the person of S.E.C., Private-Platinum Plans at Insurance Commission. Alam ng mga evil Pre-Need Plans na mga ito na marami ng magsisipag-mature na mga policies na inis-issue nila sa mga kawawang mga planholders kaya it’s about time na bumitaw na silang lahat sa ere!!! Nasabi kong kasabwat ang S.E.C. diyan kasi hindi sila naging very strict sa pag-momonitor ng mga trust funds ng mga hayup na mga swindlers na mga Pre-Need Plans na ito particularly Platinum Plans, ang gobyerno walang outgoing concern sa mga planholders ng mga educational plans at hinayaang magtaas ng magtaas ang mga tuition fees sa schools. Hindi inisip na malaking dagok ito sa pre-need plans industries at ultimately ang mga apektado e mga planholders!!! Ang insurance commission ay aware na natatalo na sila ng mga pre-need plans at pahina na ng pahina ang benta nila kaya insurance commission jumped for joy at nawala na ang mga pre-need plans sa market!!! Ang nangyaring ito sa ating mga planholders is a horrible ECONOMIC SABOTAGE!!!done by the expert evil men in the industry katulad nila Ernesto Salas and family and other cohorts!!! Ang paliwanag nila sa atin noong kasagsagan ng pang-raracket nila wayback 80s, 90s, and early part of 2000s na hiwalay ang trust fund ng educational plans at pension plans na hindi naging very very very strict sa pagmomonitor ang SEC bilang arms of the government and as their mandate bilang government agency. Of all the message and note I read concerning our predicaments with Platinum Plans ditto with Grayline Pre-need Insurance, yours was something to look forward to…thanks for the info and reminders. I do hope, we, Plan holders will facilitate and expedite the requirements we need (photocopies of the POLICY, FULL PAYMENT CERTIFICATE and 1 valid ID)to submit to Atty. M. Marcelo’s office. As you reminded us, we must or need to go there personally and bring the documents so that they can start sorting the plan holders name. We do hope and pray, this year would turn out positive for all of us Platinum and Grayline Planholders…let us all be optimistic. Goodluck to everyone of us!

I think Mr. Ernesto Salas should not continue his membership with the Rotary Club. What he has done to the planholders of Platinum Plan, defies the ideals of Rotary International for which I was once an active member. Maybe he learned the trade of fooling others from Mr. Jocjoc Bolante who is also renowned Rotarian and is involve in the fertilizer scam. What a pity to the organization that holds its 4 Way Test and Object of Rotary with high esteem.
As a planholder, I pray that he will always be reminded by his conscience everytime he goes to sleep (if he can still sleep)of the plight of the many planholder.

Nag-release on its website ang Insurance Commission on March 23, 2012 ng list nila of pre-need companies under conservatorship and court rehabilitation. Ang Platinum Plans ay nasa list of 6 firms under court rehabilitation (RTC of Makati) at ang Grayline and Ideal Pension ay nasa list of 31 firms under conservatorship (Ideal with remark na meron siyang liquidation filing).

Matagal na din Ako nagbabasakali sa relative ng asawa ko na siyang inaasahan ko to follow up for possible payment kasi siya ang agent ko. I just recieved a reply from Ms. Myra regarding the submission of my documents. She told me that my name and accounts does not appear on the master list. However, the liquidator will manifest this situation to the Honorable Court so that my claime should be included as a subject of payment.
Lets hope and pray that it will works.

Hi! A few years back, I searched for Platinum Plans. I have a pension plan as well as maybe 10 of my friends. Our plans have all been fully paid in the same year that we got them. (The signing was done at the Marriott Hotel in Cebu.)It is only today that I thought about searching in the net. I read all the comments above.

Hello pe . tanong ko lang po kung active pa itong Grayline Plans Inc kasi isa rin po ako sa mga plan holders nito. Mature na po Educ Plan para sa anak ko at magaaral na siya sa college ngayong pasukan. Di ko macontact opisina nila dati sa Banawe, Quezon City. palagi not yet in service tel nila.
I’m a platinum plan holder as well from Iloilo City. Here are my suggestions to all platinum plan holders.
(1)For those of us who are able, we should file a “Claimant’s Request for Assistance” at the Department of Finance, Insurance Commission. The more claims filed the better and the strong our case will be against platinum plans. Here is the link to the claim form. In the claim form you find the address where to file your claimant’s request for assistance.

(2) File your claim to the PPI liquidator c/o Myra (refer to information from previous discussion for address and the document you will need to provide).
(3) We should have a list of platinum plan holders with sufficient information in that list. I will volunteer to create, gather, and update the list. Having this list will allow us to create an electronic mailing list for quicker and efficient dissemination of information on future plan of actions.
