There have been several planholders of Ideal Pension Plans who have been asking about the status of their pre-need firm. I’ve also read in other forums complaints about the failure of Ideal Pension Plans to pay maturing benefits and claims.
My answer was always about the need for Ideal planholders to connect with each other online and talk about how they can pursue their claims. I’ve even suggested that if they’re interested, I can email those who made comments here about Ideal and ask if they like to exchange email addresses.
Now, one Ideal Pension planholder, Juni, has placed on the comment section a notice he said it came from the Makati Regional Trial Court. And he’s calling for all Ideal Pension planholders to unite, help each other and show their power during the hearing on October 5, 2010.

According to online SEC records, Ideal Pension Plans Corp. was licensed to sell pre-need plans until December 31, 2008. In the SEC pre-need list as of September 9, 2008, Ideal Pension was listed, but in the SEC list as of January 2009, Ideal was no longer on the list.
Now, Ideal planholders, you have a chance to make your demands together. Bring xerox and original copies of your Ideal pre-need policies, but guard your original copies. There’s POWER in number. The more planholders at the hearing, the better.
Those who can visit the Makati City Hall and check if there are changes in the notice, it is for everyone’s good if they can do so, and then inform other planholders.

Under liquidation na po ang Ideal. The court is in the process of approving the liquidation plan. Kailan makukuha ang pera? Di po natin masasabi. It could be months or even years from now. Huwag po tayong mag expect na makukuha natin ng buo ang contract price. Approximately 20% lang makukuha. Depende sa mabebentang ari-arian ng court appointed liquidator, baka mas malaki o mas maliit ang makukuha.

Sa notes ni MS. NORA NUNG 2014 PA NAG-LIQUIDATE ANG GRAYLINE PLANS. Malamang nag-release na ito ng payment. Punta ka na lang o tawag sa Insurance Commission para sa latest updates tungkol sa Grayline Plans.

Hello po. My parents are individually members of the Ideal Pension Plan. He started his payment in the year 2000. The maturity year would be 2020. He ask me to search for the said pension plan only to find out this controversy. They aren’t informed about this and they we’re shocked. Hi MJ, sorry to say, nag-file ng bankruptcy ang Ideal Pension noong 2010 pa. Before pa 2010, hindi na siya nakaka-release ng mga claim checks. You can try sending a letter by postal mail to Atty. Kasama ang Ideal sa mga maraming na-bankrupt na pre-need companies, meaning konti o wala nang ma-claim ang mga planholders. Visit insurance.gov.ph from time to time at tingnan kung merong update about Ideal. Subukan niyong sumulat kay Atty. Leonila Licuan, 3rd Floor Del Castillo Bldg., Rizal St., Surigao City. Try lang, pero hindi ko sure kung andon pa si Atty. Licuan.

Hi Liezel, it’s really sad these pre-need failures happened. Email the Insurance Commission pubassist@insurance.gov.ph. You can write your congressman, the senators, PNoy, the Tulfo brothers, Wish Ko Lang, etc. so you can get some attention. For TB treatment, your rural clinic can put your aunt on the 6-month TB treatment program. Doon sa baryo namin sa probinsiya, yong midwife na naka-assign sa barangay namin, siya pa ang nagdadala ng spit specimen for residents under the TB program, so the patient does not need to go many times to the clinic. May God continue to bless you for taking care of your elders.

Question po. Ang name ng auntie ko ay Corazon B. Balois. Pwede po bang ibalik nalang ung hinulog nya for 5yrs? Member po sya for 16 yrs. Naaawa po ako sa auntie ko kasi yun nalang ang inaasahan nya. Hindi po nya alam na na-bankrupt ang Ideal. 30,000php ang total ng hinulog nya. Nakapagloan daw sya pero binayaran nya rin yun. Nasa kanya pa nga po lahat ng resibo eh. Kasambahay po sya since 15 yrs old palang sya. Ngayon po 58 yrs old na sya. May sakit pa po syang TB ngayon. Kahit po sana yung hinulog nya nalang na 30k. Kasi gusto nya magtayo ng tindahan sa probinsya sa capiz. Ngayon po dito sya nakatira sa amin, ate nya po ang mama ko. May apat po syang anak pero kahit pamilyado na, sa kanya pa rin lumalapit. Sa tuwing naririnig ko syang nahihirapan sa pag-ubo, naiiyak ako. At ayokong maranasan ko ang ganitong sitwasyon na akala ko may aasahan ako sa pagtanda ko. Pwede ko syang ipa-check up pero hanggang dun lang ang maitutulong ko sa kanya, dahil stroke ang papa ko at may sakit din po ang mama ko. Kaya sana po kahit 30k nalang maibalik sa kanya. May 6, 2014 na, pero sana makarating sa may ari at namamahala ng Ideal pension plan ang kalagayan ng auntie ko. Salamat po.

Hi jon, you can have the check replaced by the liquidator who sent you the check. Send a copy of your father’s death certificate and marriage certificate and letter of request for check replacement and copy of the check. Wala bang return address yong mail?

The last update I know is that Ideal filed for liquidation before the Regional Court of Makati City, Branch 66 (SP. PROC. No. M-6946) in Dec 2010 and the court-appointed conservator is Atty. ako si Raymunda Macas isa po akong member ng ideal pension maturity ko 5yrs at matagal na po akng tapos noong 2007. Nag punta ako sa main office Makati, Manila para mag loan at nakausap ko si fanny micaller hindi na raw puedeng magloan. Sa situation ngayon paano na ba maka avail ang benefits nito. Puede ko bang makuha ang pera till to my maturity period.. Paano na ang pension na ito sana matulungan nyo ako at ma- withdraw ang pera. Saan din ba ako pupunta kasi sa cagayan de oro city branch ako nakapagbayad at tapos na ng para sa pension.
